Our Environmental Policy

We at VD ComputerLand Center Ltd. are aware that business profitability depends on natural capital and resource regeneration which is presently consumed at a rate far exceeding the natural replenishment.

We are therefore, committed towards the management of energy and environmental resources in maintaining a balance between the business’ needs to improve our competitiveness, while preserving natural resources and ecosystems for future needs.

For this we are committed to ensure the following:

  • In order to combat climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions we look for energy efficient office equipment and fuel efficient cars;
  • In order to combat desertification and preserve the scarce water resources on the island we take every measure to preserve water;
  • As we produce packaging waste we foresee that this is managed according to legal requirements In order to minimise the pollution of ecosystems we always look to upgrade our car fleet to that which is more environmentally friendly;
  • We are aware that our resource consumptions indirectly affect biodiversity and for this we have set up an environmental management system to mitigate such impact.

Adhering to the above principles we are committed in setting up objectives with targets that are reviewed in an attempt to continually improve our good environmental and social performance while becoming environmentally competitive in the computer services and products sector.

We take the necessary steps to prevent environmental degradation, ensuring that all of our services are in compliance with the relevant legal requirements and those laid down in standards adopted by the Company.
